Is there any difference between 01 and 02-04 Z06 wheels? I seem to recall my friends 01 wheels were not painted and had a finish different than the oem wheels I see for sale.

I'd like to find a set of OEM Z06 wheels and I need to know if I'm just imagining this or if they really were different?

According to the Black Book, the '02 Z06 wheels were identical in appearance to the '01 Z06 wheel. However, they were cast spun instead of forged, for a weight savings of 1.3 pounds per car (yes - you read that right!).

I couldn't find a whole lot on cast spun vs forging, but this Tire Rack article explains it a little bit.
