Hey guys I purchased z06 springs from a forum member and I got to thinking My car is a 98 and ive only owned it two years. Who's to say that in the last 12 years someone didn't change the springs in the car all ready. Any way the casting numbers on my springs are

22171750 Front spring
22171767 Rear spring
10279661 Front shock
10280672 Rear shock

These numbers are no good, but can any one identify what springs these are I cannot find any resources on this subject.

My car is a 98 6 speed possible z51 . is the 02 Z06 spring going to be stiffer or the same then these stock ones?

The 22171750 front spring is a 525 lb/in spring rate used on FE3 (Z51) and FE4 (Z06) cars. The Z06 front spring you just bought has the same rate as the Z51 spring already on the car - but the seller was honest when he said his springs were from a Z06. The base model rate (for comparison) is 440 lbs/in or 457 lbs/in with real time damping.

If you look closely, you may find that the rear spring already installed on your car is actually a 22171757, which is a 634 lb/in rate spring used on FE3 (Z51) cars with manual transmissions. Autos used a 22146646 spring with a 645 lb/in rate. The Z06 rear spring that you bought (22188078 or 22188038) is a 714 lb/in spring.

Can't help you with the shocks, maybe someone else can chime in.

Hey paul, thanks for the springs and shocks. I posted this right after the first day I talked to you about them I got my answer since then.......Funny thing is My car actuly had a front z06 spring and Z06 shocks in it, but they had 95000 miles and the shocks were totaly shot. Also your springs allowed me to be able to adjust the ride hight because my bolts where frozen to the spring. Im realy happy with the springs. Thanks man. Can't wait to finnaly drive the car.
