Meet the MTI ZR48 – 2,700 HP Corvette based carbon fiber Powerplant worth $1.7M!

The 2012 MTI ZR48 is the thing that you are looking for. Pier 57, the powerboat manufacturer is based in Tennessee and recently build this Corvette inspired 2,700 HP monster that reaches the speed of 180 MPH. The MTI ZR48 has a pair of 1,350 HP turbocharged Mercury Marine V8 engines that are strapped into a carbon fiber haul. This powerboat is different in comparison with the others because of its Chevy Corvette inspired interior and haul.

The custom dash has completely function gauges, shifter and custom ZR1 steering wheel. The custom shifter throttles the two engines and also controls the drive trim. The interior is suede and ultra leather, and has 6 air conditioned seats. The throttle man and driver’s carbon fiber seats has footrests. Check out the video of this beautiful MTI ZR48.

It's just the Tenn. accent.

Pretty awesome boat, problem is you can only go fast in it. You can't ski, swim, fish or sunbathe off it.

If'n you can afford that boat you can buy a Ski Nautique for skiing, a Boston Whaler or a Ranger for fishing and with that kind of cash the ladies will sunbathe where you tell them to sunbathe.:D

Might as Well Stick a Fighter Jet engine in that Corvette Boat Junk.
Go For Broke snd hit 300 mph.
300Mph was done on the water by a real brave and crazy boater in Australia .
He used a Salvaged Jet fighter engine.

Watching the Video , Sounds like a pair of Big Block Chevies.
540-632 cubic inches each.

Maybe it's due to my lack of knowledge of boats but it seems that those propellers should be a lot bigger than they are. Seems like they are wasting a lot of horsepower by being so small. But hey, what do I know. I swim like a rock. :smack

That Corette Boat has Propellers I have never seen before other than a Navy Nuclear Submarines Junk.
Made To go Real Fast and Kill.

The design takes Mega Torque and HP To Perform.

I have been to 100-105 mph on the water on 100,000 Dollar Cigarette Fountain boats.
Its like doing 160-180 on the Illinois River here near me.

The old group was living it up high on the Hog.
Running to the banks and Free Ctedit and Money.

I was rhe Poor Guy. Pontiac Guy.
They are all done. Weny Bankrupt

I'm with you on this one. I saw Miss Budweiser hanging on a wall somewhere......maybe the Indy car museum, and the thing had like 2000 HP and a 12" prop. I even asked if that was original and they said it was. Must have the pitch from hell because those things sling tons of water several hundred feet up and back behind them:huh:
