Just wandering if anyone owns or has seen a jetstream blue C3? I've never seen this color in person on any vette, but from what I've seen online I like it a whole lot! I've heard many people say it resembles nassau blue, but then I've heard many people say otherwise. Any opinions/helpful comparisons? Which is brighter or more eye catching in the sun? Which one would better accent the curves of a stingray? Any input is welcome and encouraged. I'm hoping to paint the '72 this year, and these colors are being considered. Back to the point though, jetstream blue C3...is there such a creature? If so lets see it.

Any blue is awesome on a shark. I painted my coupe in the '80's a light blue 77 Ford color. I always brought lot's of compliments (see my pics). I repainted again with Mulsane blue which is much darker, and much to my surprise, has much more depth and the shark lines really stand out better (again see my pictures). My painter, when he mixed the paint, talked about how many blues, purples, and blacks are in, Mulsane blue.

I think any dark blue is outstanding....

I have chosen jetstream blue as the final paint on my C3, but i'm still not that far. It's a 2008 new color and it has some special toner in it, that is real expensive. You need to shoot a number of tinted clearcoats over it, which makes it possible to make the paint darker or lighter according to the number of layers. It's impossible to take pictures that show the paint complete.

And even then, the color of the primer also has influence.

If you need the real deal, you need to go with PPG because they have the original toner. All the other manufacturers use a comparable pearl paint, which is not by far the same...

Nassau Blue is by far the closest compairable color to Jetstream Blue. BUT Belgian1979 is right about matching that paint. I have had my "00 FRC parked next to an "08 vert with JSB and from a distance it's hard to tell a difference, but upclose you can see a bit of a "fleck" and different tone to the color. BOTH, IMO...are awesome! Hope you get a good match!
