When the ig. is turned on, the fuel pump is supposed to cycle for 6 secs or so right? mine doesnt, and wont start. I replaced the fuel pump relay but what else could cause this? i hooked 12volts to the "fuel pump test" (i didnt have a meter) and the fuel pump ran. It seemed like a couple of the injectors were squirting gas too(that may be another prob though). 93 LT1

The ECM energizes the fuel pump relay for 2 seconds. This sends battery voltage to the fuel pump to prime the fuel rail for starting. If appling battery voltage to the fuel pump terminal on the ALDL makes the fuel pump run then the fuse is good. I would suggest to make sure you have the right relay. Seems like it is located under the steering wheel to the right on the 93. When you are sure you have the right relay, get a short fused jumper wire and stick one end into the first terminal on the fuel pump relay connector and the other end of the wire in the last terminal. This will act as a bypass and the fuel pump should run with the key off. If it does then your relay is no good.

As for the leaky injector thing. Since you have a LT1, you have caught a break. Remove the injector covers and injector harness connectors. Take out the 4 bolts holding the fuel rail down. Pull the fuel rail with injectors attached over the intake manifold. You will have enough slack in the braided fuel lines to do this. Have someone energize the fuel pump and look at the injectors for drips over a few minutes. If any drip, replace all 8. If not, then you know the injectors don't leak.
