You may not care about the workings of a corvette, but some of us like to learn what makes the beast tick. Your interest may only run to the end 1/4 mile. We how ever like to go home and find ways to make it go faster. And if it were not for us learning you my friend would have no one to work on your car when you get to the end of that 1/4 mile.

And I am not your Dude. I'm 64 years old, you can refer to me as "Sir".
Btw, you must have missed all the of tech posts and pictures I have posted and contributed to DC in the last few months in regard to my Chuck Cow 05 LS2 build sir. But I understand you have to moderate and it's you job.

Did we ever find out how many ground points there were???

per helms manuals 2007 i stopped counting at 13 small wire grounds

An automatic picks its ground up from the directly though the transmission harness and the actual TCM module and does not need or require the use of an outside seperate grounding lug.

For a manual trans there is only one in the rear of the car. It is mounted behind the drivers side rear tire on the frame rail.

In the front of the car there is a main engine ground, and 3 small grounds directly on the engine harness that are for things such as the ECM and ABS module. The starter grounds directly though the block obviously which hopefully is grounded well. Other units such as Forward lamp lighting and SPS systems need to be grounded on the grounding lugs in the front of the car which is mainly what you see on those lugs.

Hope this helps

Ed

The main battery ground (front c6, rear z06) is mounted to the frame in the respective location of the battery.

Total of 12.

When my ground wire on the drivers side rear was completly loose(just hanging) the car would not start. The starter was cranking but the motor wouldn`t fire up. Only tried twice as i didn`t want to burn up the starter and my car always started easy. So the first place i looked was the drivers side and there it was, just barley touching the bolt. I tighten it on and sure as **** the car fired right up. Now since that happenend i went looking for all the grounds in the rear and found that i am missing a ground on the passenger side rear. Wondering what this ground controls and i am looking to find out. Also had a call into my tranny shop today and i have an appointment for this saturday for this reason. Also found my rear brake lines in the wrong location...They will be fixing this also.
