Hurricane Air Intake
Dealer selling 2008 Corvette said that since the original intake was replaced with the Hurricane the check engine light will always be on. The engine runs lean and you can not do anything about it. I had a Callaway Honker on my 2006 and I never had that problem. Is the dealer correct? Other than disconnecting the light is there any other procedure to solve this problem?

:agree: Very correct. If everything is right with the car a tune would get rid of the engine light and make it run normal instead of lean. Even if you disconnect the light, come sticker time it will not pass. The cars computer will still have the "light" on. Bring the car to autozone and have them scan it for free to see what comes up for codes/problems. If they don't have a clear answer then bring it to another dealer and have them scan it. If this dealer wont let this happen hes hiding something, and I would walk away from the car. Good luck.

Really guys? This is a new one to me. I've never heard of a cold air package making the check engine light come on. Are the later years C6 ECM's that restrictive?

My Vararam forces a hell of a lot of air through the system and my old LS2 has never thrown a code.

Are you sure there aren't more mods to that vette causing the codes to pop?
