Ok, here is my plan for the build of my 2000. I expect it to take about 4 years and cost about $35,000. I am going to build my own version of the C5R to be my daily driver. Function will be as important as looks. Here is my plan:

Suspension/Steering:
- GMPP T1 control arms
- LG adjustable coil overs
- Pfadt sway bars with pillow blocks

- Pfadt alignment kit
- upgraded power steering cooler
- Jet-Hot coated tunnel plate

Wheels/Tires/Brakes:
- Forgeline chrome plated GA3 wheels
- Forgeline center lug conversion with red anodized GT nut
- undecided because the tires I want don't come in sizes I want, but plan on 275 front, 345 rear
- C6 Z06 calipers/rotors
- Hawk pads

Interior:
- black microsuade Corbeau A4's with submarine belt cut out
- Wolfe Racecraft 6 point cage with removable door bars, wrapped with 1/4" padding and red leather
- platinum Simpson camlock 5 point harness
- new steering wheel
- 3 gauge pillar pod, 3 gauge double din radio bezel
- new stereo system with single sub, new component speakers, and double din touch screen head unit
- white face gauge cluster overlay
- Autometer Ultralite II 2 1/16 fuel pressure, A/F, NO2, shift light, and 2 gauges to be determined
- full LED interior light conversion
- new HVAC controller with LED conversion
- LED door reflectors
-GoPro mount on rollbar

Exterior:
- 2F performance C5.5 front end
- LED running lights in C6 corner lights
- RadioFlyier V2 fixed HID lights
- C6 Z06 style rockers
- C6 Z06 style front splitter
- C5 Z06 rear brake ducts
- Pfadt front/rear tow hooks
- LED tail lights with non-LED Halos
- new reverse/rear side marker lights
- HID fog lights
- vented hood, possibly carbon fiber depending on which one I choose
- rear wing
- molded in rear diffuser
- L5 front/rear fenders
- carbon fiber targa top
- brighter red paint with twin metallic silver stripes
- performance parts decals painted on rockers

Misc:
- complete braided stainless line conversion
- everything that can be polished under the hood polished and clear coated
- built in radar detector/jammer
- Lojack
- rocker panel skit plates
- radiator cradle skid plates
- conversion to (if possible) C6 style key-less entry with push button start

So, what do you think?

I could always spend $65k on a new 1, then another $10k-$15k to get it the way I want....so let me see.....put $35k into a car that is paid for, or spend $80k on a new 1 and have payments....yea, makes no sense
