Well I knew It wouldn't be long before I got a service message on my DIC. This morning on the way to get some coffee, the Service Traction Control Sytem light came on. I hope that It is nothing serious. This happened almost once a month with my 01 C5. Going in the shop Monday anyways, so I will see what's going on with the Traction Control.

Are you sure it's not the "warming up" message your seeing? You should see this from time to time especially during the colder months

I am positive that it isn't my warming up light. I have seen that one and know about it. All I have done so far is to remove the Mufflers, lower the car 1 inch, powdercoated the wheels, that's it for now. You can see my muffler removal photos in my Gallery.:partyon:

I have 3000 on my C6. Mine came on the other day for 2 seconds , went off and has stayed off for 3 days and about 100 miles

As C5D would say, pull the codes, post them on this forum if there's a problem it's all in memory! Some body, probably the answer guy himself will tell you what's what.

Unlike the C5, the C6 does not read out codes. Even my hand held OBD 11 code reader will not work. It's GM way of forcing you to bring it back to the dealer. I'm not concerned, if there was a real problem it will show up again.

:WTF So how does the dealer tell whats going on if you can't read the present and history codes and what is the OBD port good for then?

Hopefully all dealers have the new equipment to read codes-I forget what its called- have to scan some old threads here or on the Forum-If I recall the new equipment that plugs into the C6 costs approx. $6000.

An excellent after market opportunity .. an inexpensive code reader..

Wait a bit..
