Most times with the passengers side window it is just a matter of the brushes on the motor sticking. When you hit button to roll it down do you hear a clicking sound? If so, it is not likely your regulator. Three things that people have said to try are:

1) Holding the window button down, slam the door a couple times (fairly hard) to try to break the brushes loose.

2) Holding the window button down, punch the door just to the right of the speaker grill cover. (I personally dont like this method.. just something about punching my car).

3) This is the one that worked for me. Remove the door panel so you can get into where the motor is located. Hold the window button down (you will have to get someone to do it on the drivers side, or reattach the button assembly after the panel is off), and tap the motor assembly with a hammer or butt of a screwdriver (I used the screwdriver).

If all of that fails then I guess it is possible you need to actually replace the assembly. Let me know if you do, I have a new passengers side assembly just sitting in my garage (I bought it before I tried method #3, and I fixed the problem the day it came in). I would be willing to sell it for close to what I paid for it. You can PM me about it if you need.

Now I try to remember to roll my windows up and down at least once a day now to help prevent the brushes from sticking anymore.

BTW.. what part of Alabama are you from?? Huntsville here.

Same issue...

I've been having this problem on a regular basis. Seems to happen on humid days; most of the time it works in the am when starting the car but by the end of the day, sitting in the lot at work, it tends to sieze. The heat just seems to make the problem more likely to happen.

Will definitely try bumping the motor housing to break the brushes loose. Can anybody recommend a decent lubricant to prevent this?
